  • pytanie: Will I be able to re-chrome my door handles and letterbox with this?

    odpowiedź: If you're looking for a mirror like finish then I wouldn't bother with this product. It produces a silver satin like finish. It looked OK on my hob.
  • pytanie: Is this paint heat resistant?

    odpowiedź: I used it on the copper pipes going into my chrome towel rail which I did not like the look of and it gets quite hot. It has been done for a few months and still looks good. I don’t know if it will be ok for years but it was the only solution to my problem.

    odpowiedź: Not tried, but I would have thought so. Spray painting isn’t easy though, especially on flat surfaces. Make sure it's grease and dust free.
  • pytanie: Can you use this on exterior door handles?

    odpowiedź: I needed to paint an addition to an outside balustrade made from stainless steel. I used a car primer as an undercoat and then sprayed the chrome effect spray. It matched the stainless steel very well and has been wearing well for 6 months.

    odpowiedź: You would need to undercoat first.

    odpowiedź: I have tried various 'chrome sprays' and this one was really good. The best effect is achieved when using an appropriate undercoat. The spray needs at least 24hrs to cure, preferably 48hrs. I see no reason to believe it will not work on plastic, provided you use a suitable undercoat.

    odpowiedź: I wanted to add an extra support to a stainless steel balustrade. I first sprayed primer and then undercoat, and the Auto Extreme was the top coat. It was easily applied and the finish was great. Identical to the stainless steel. It has been out in all weathers for 8 months and still looks great. It takes a day or so to cure once applied, and when dry it does not leave a residue on your hands.

    odpowiedź: Most definitely not. This product at best produces a silver color barely with a shine. The finish is nothing whatsoever like what it shows on the cap.
