As for insulating, I don't think it is possible as it's only plastic. Maybe if you put foil on the top of the kennel to catch the sun, but other than that, no. Hope this helps.

odpowiedź: No, it cannot be secured just for your own cat. Our dog shares it occasionally with our cat, but at night we also get a couple of ferals who visit and spend the night before daybreak when they move out.
