I worry that the extra wide will also be too wide in the heel. All I can recommend is get both sizes and return the one you don’t like. -

I found it uncomfortable to work in and not good slip resistance for a restaurant. But may work for some. I have worn Saucony running shoes in the past and the fit can often work for me but not in these. -
