If you're looking for an affordable and easily installable under cabinet lighting solution, the Hyper Tough 18 LED Slim Under Cabinet Light should be on your list of Considerations. Unlike fluorescent fixtures, Hyper Tough generates much less heat while illuminating your cabinets. Moreover, the LED lights are bright and Consistent. Mounting should be a breeze, but you will need to drill pilot holes as the mounting screws are rather cheap. However, one potential issue is that the link cord is only 10 inches long, limiting the user's ability to chain it left and right from their outlet. You cannot run the power cord from either side if you want to turn the light around. Despite this, customers rave about the light's brightness and easy installation. One customer even recommends it as a replacement for a Lights of America under cabinet LED lights that they had for seven years. Another happy customer cautions against drilling holes or doing anything permanent before testing the placement.
