The appliance does a great job of toasting bread on both sides and can be used to proof dough or prepare homemade yogurt. The drip tray underneath the appliance can be lined with aluminum foil, but it's unnecessary because it's nonstick and easy to clean. The baskets measure 7.4 inches x 11.1 inches x 4.9 inches, and there are sets of 8-inch pans available on Amazon that will fit on top of the trays that come with the Vortex Pro, including deep pans for cakes, pizza pans, a toast rack, a skewer rack with skewers, and a roasting rack.
