While it is possible to run both speakers from one receiver (the kit only comes with one), it is recommended to purchase the Amphony 1800 instead if you want to be safe because it has twice the output power. The power cord for the receiver is around 5.9 feet long, and the thickness is 3.5mmx1.5mm. It can be hidden in the corner where the outlet is. It is not suitable for use in a vehicle as it requires 36 VDC. One receiver can handle two speakers, and one transmitter can handle two receivers at a time. In terms of compatibility, a Bose acoustimass system works well with this kit. Simply hook the surround speaker wires from the subwoofer to the Amphony Transmitter and then hook up wires from the Amphony Receiver to the surround speakers. Overall, the product works as advertised, and the sound quality is close to wired speakers.
