This tool is easy to use and does an excellent job of pulling the dent out of the rim. However, to prevent marking the rim, you will need to use some sort of backing material. The tool is well made and is an excellent value for money, Considering it costs only $20 while a new rim would cost $400. It works quickly and easily at removing rim dings. This tool is ideal for on-trail emergency repairs, and it's a great tool to have in your garage for regular maintenance. However, a customer complained that using the tool caused a square dent on their rim due to the sharp edges.
