Most users installed the Rigid Ignite centrally or close to the bumper outside to increase visibility, and it works perfectly. However, one user reported that mounting the light onto a receiver might compromise the receiver's strength. Some users mentioned that they would have preferred to have more precise installation instructions, as the recommended inch and three-quarter holesaw could leave no margin for error. Nevertheless, they suggest using an inch and a half holesaw with stainless sheet metal screws due to their durability.
