The DIG RBC8000 Battery Powered Digital Controller is a good product, and it is easy to install. The centerline distance between inlet and outlet fittings is 3 5/8”. It can be used to control a 3/4” anti-siphon valve. However, it does not have the capability of operating a larger solenoid valve. If there is a problem with the 3/4” anti-siphon valve, foreign matter at the solenoid seat could be the cause or the inlet and outlet pipes may be reversed on the valve. Programming the controller is difficult as the numbers and symbols on the face are challenging to read. Some buyers have reported that the entire screen failed even with new batteries. If that happens, it can only be used in manual mode. One buyer had to replace the DIG RBC8000 multiple times as the previous units did not last more than two years. Another buyer recommends taking a picture of the current configuration before dismantling because the unit must be connected to the appropriate incoming and outgoing water lines or it would not work.
