It is not a self- bronzing lotion and does not have any sunscreen in it. This lotion can be used on the face, but some people's face may be sensitive and will break out, then they should use a facial lotion. This lotion works great for pale people who have a hard time tanning. It does not have a tingle or warming effect but is violet in color and is a bronzer. Make sure to rub it in between your fingers and hands thoroughly. The lotion smells great, vaguely floral, and works effectively.
