The Epiphone LP-100 is a great option for beginners. It is lighter and thinner than most Gibson Les Pauls, comparable in size to the Special but with better hardware and more options. The LP-100 has a pickguard, dot inlays, 2 volume and 2 tone knobs, a 3-way switch, bolt-on neck, humbucker pickups, and premium die-cast tuners. It does not come with a gig bag, guitar strap, or amp cable. The tuners are not the best and may need to be replaced for gigging or serious practice. Epiphone makes a hard case that fits the LP-100 nicely. It is made in China. This guitar offers good sound and tone for its cost and is highly recommended for new players.
