Compatible with both AC/DC polarity, the Ally5#5 cup kit is perfect for welding thinner aluminum assemblies and offers excellent visibility. Made from high-quality quartz grade laboratory glass, this welding cup kit is robust enough to withstand high heat environments associated with welding on AC, allowing you to achieve precise, flawless welds every time. Included in the kit is a cup mounted on a collet body, a 3/32-2.4mm slit style collet, and an insulator, making it the ideal choice for #17 and #18 torches. Please note that only slit style collets are compatible with the Ally5 cups. While the cup will screw on and can be used with a #26 torch, we recommend using it only with #17 and #18 torches, as all torches are slightly different and the insulator may not fit on every torch made in different countries.
If you do choose to use it with a #26 torch, you may have to run without an insulator. Please exercise caution when using this welding cup kit, as all glass cups are subject to picking up dirt and debris when welding on dirty or oily applications.
