  • Question: What is included?

    Answer: The package includes one large 16 oz. Sinus Rinse bottle and 10 Extra Strength Hypertonic saline packets.
  • Question: Is it safe to use?

    Answer: Yes, it is safe to use as it is preservative, iodine, and latex free. It also provides a soothing, pH balanced, isotonic solution with no burning or stinging.
  • Question: What symptoms does it relieve?

    Answer: It effectively relieves symptoms caused by nasal irritation from allergies and cold such as dust, fumes, animal dander, pollen, smoke, etc.
  • Question: What size salt packets does this one take?

    Answer: It depends on what concentration you want. If you want an isotonic solution, then you would use two regular salt packets. If you wanted a hypertonic solution, you would use four regular packets or two packets of the hypertonic kind of salt.
  • Question: How many times can the bottle be used before it should be replaced?

    Answer: I find that the drying racks they sell help maintain cleanliness, by allowing full drainage. I use the freestanding one that has a sachet storage compartment. I place the rack & bottle in the sun from time to time.
  • Question: Can I use bidistilled (double distilled) water with this? I can´t find distilled water locally.

    Answer: Yes, you can. As you pointed out, bidistilled water is distilled water. It has just been distilled twice to be extra pure.
  • Question: Do you still have to change it after 3 months like the small one?

    Answer: I change every 1-2 years. Clean occasionally with peroxide.
  • Question: Kinda weird this didn’t come in a proper box. Just in a plastic with a pamphlet and saline packets. Is that how you guys received yours?

    Answer: I didn’t get saline packs (don’t need them as I have extras). Don’t remember the packaging. Love the extra size and low cost.
  • Question: What is the difference between hypertonic and isotonic please?

    Answer: Hypertonic is saltier than isotonic. You need one packet of saline mixture with 8 oz of water. I found rinsing with 1 packet in the 16 ounces of water to be like rinsing my nose with plain water - ouch. You could make up the whole 16 oz container with two packets of saline and use half of solution for each nasal rinse. I think hypertonic is probably too much saline for a normal daily rinse. My opinion.
