Additionally, the upper bracket could be larger, offering more security to bikes and allowing for proper locking. The rack has difficulty clamping in the bikes, and the top clamp plate and rubber protectors might come loose over time. This can result in a gap between upper and lower brackets that ultimately leads to bike detachment. A customer lost almost $3000 worth of bikes due to this design flaw.
